20 Year Anniversary (2009):
In 2009, the 20 year anniversary of Omkara School of Dance was celebrated with great flair. Musicians
were invited from Bangalore and the UK to perform live with the students, who had been preparing for several months prior to the show. Every student, no matter how beginner, benefitted from the experience of performing with a live orchestra, and the show was a great success. The accompanying musicians were: Smt Vasudha Shastry (Bangalore), Sri Bhavani Shankar (UK), Sri Athul Kumar (UK) and Smt Janaki Ragunath
(Bangalore).

Yatra: A journey towards spirituality through dance - December 5th 2009
A venture initiated by the senior students of Omkara, inspired by the most popular temples of India: Tirupathi, Madurai, Chidambaram, Pallani, Halebid & Belur, Mathura. This project helped the students understand the link between the mind
and the body, which is essential to communicate the dance with a deeper understanding.
